You may have noticed that we don’t boil the rope, air-dry it, boil it again, air-dry it again, boil it again... because the plain fact is that flax rope doesn’t need it. It’s ready for use even on bare skin when you receive it, and after using it a couple of times any slight stiffness or surface hardness will disappear and it will become as soft and limp as any rope you’ve ever handled. And because there are no labour-intensive boil/dry stages, we can offer the rope at much lower prices than you can get fully prepared hemp or jute. And to keep the prices down, we don’t offer dyed rope in all sorts of shades. If you want that, it’s easy enough to do yourself.
We have our flax rope in 6mm & 8mm diameters, in standard lengths of 15ft, 30ft, and 60ft. Other lengths to special order. We’re also introducing 10mm rope, particularly suitable for larger figures or for greater confidence in load-bearing applications.
